Environment
Standard Notes version: 3.201.30
macOS: Sequoia 15.7.7
MacMini with external keyboard (Logitech Brazilian Layout)
MacBook Air
Issue
Keyboard shortcuts that use the Command (⌘) key stop working after I edit the contents of a note.
This issue is 100% reproducible on my system.
Steps to reproduce
- Open Standard Notes.
- Open a note using the Markdown or Minimal Markdown editor.
- Press Shift + Command + F to enter Focus Mode (this works correctly).
- Type any text or make any edit to the note.
- Try to use Shift + Command + F again to exit Focus Mode.
Expected behavior
The shortcut should continue to work normally, allowing me to exit Focus Mode.
Actual behavior
The shortcut no longer works.
After editing the note, all keyboard shortcuts that use the Command key appear to stop working. For example:
Shift + Command + F (Focus Mode)
Shift + Command + D (Toggle Theme)
The only way to restore the shortcuts is to completely quit and reopen Standard Notes.
I have also noticed another issue that may be related: when switching between Light and Dark themes, the application interface changes correctly, but the editor area often remains in the previous theme until the application is restarted.
Additional observation
From my testing, this issue appears to be editor-specific.
I can consistently reproduce it when using the Markdown and Minimal Markdown editors.
However, I have not been able to reproduce the issue when using the Plain Text or Super editors. In those editors, the keyboard shortcuts continue to work normally after editing.
This may help narrow the issue down to the Markdown-based editors.
Please let me know if you would like any additional information or if there is a debug build or log that could help diagnose this issue.
