This notebook runs a STAC query for forecast hour zero forecast data from the Met Office Global collection then generates virtual representations of the items that get written to an icechunk repository in batches.
There is an analysis of query performance for icechunk and the "legacy" STAC + xarray.open_mfdataset methods at the end.
I put it in the met-office folder but maybe this notebook belongs in the
tutorials/directory?
